Story Papers is a blog about telling stories written by Ann Kuykendall and Mike McArtor. Here’s a bit about us.
Ann: After years of saying she wanted to be a novelist, Ann buckled down and finished her first novel in 2002. Over the next six years, she followed up with eleven more. Unable to find a home for her stories, she burned out and took a couple of years “off” from writing novels, but never stopped telling stories. In 2010, she realized she wanted to go back to writing novels, but also that her paradigm had changed, and she’s been re-learning the art of writing and creativity since then. Herein are her experiments and adventures as a born-again novelist.
When Ann is not working on stories, she is the Managing Editor for Royal Archivist and an obsessed knitter and spinner, which she also blogs about when she slows down enough to take some pictures.
Mike: For the past decade or so, Mike has worked as an editor for several companies, on a variety of publications, largely related to various games. He is probably best known for his work on Dragon magazine. Mike is also an award-winning short-story writer, but don’t remind him of that or else he gets a big head. :3
In addition to his day job as the copy editor on DailyMTG.com and writing about stories here, Mike also contributes to Royal Archivist, maintains a rather undisciplined private blog, and takes photos.
Guests: We plan to occasionally invite other storytellers to write guest posts for us as well. We’ll include links here to whatever web presence our guest writers wish us to.
